Audrey Pike was born in California and has lived in Arizona and Washington State. She grew up doing yoga and lived in a household that promoted being outdoors, living holistically, practicing good nutritional habits and being constantly aware of the life energy that surrounds every one of us.
Audrey began running when she was 12 years old and continues to run today. She lifted her first weights when she was 15 years old and fell in love with weight lifting. She loved the challenge of weight lifting and how great it made her feel. As a result of her passion for fitness, she has participated in a variety of exercise programs in her career.
Audrey experienced serious emotional and physical challenges as she was growing up. She overcame these challenges using exercise to strengthen, process, stabilize and grow beyond these events. She incorporates much of her exercise knowledge and life experience into the work that she currently does with her clients.
Before moving to Buffalo, New York in 2004, she enjoyed a career in design and engineering services for the aerospace industry. After leaving aerospace, she was a partner in a gourmet deli/ coffee house in Hermosa Beach, CA.
Audrey opened her personal training business in 2005 in her home. Her focus was to provide personalized workouts for individuals that required minimal equipment so that they could do their exercises at home without having to go to a gym.
She wanted to help busy people realize that they can become strong and healthy with minimal investment. It did not take long before she was working full time and exposed to a variety of physical conditions that needed more specialized treatment.
In the spring of 2011 she accepted an offer to train with one of the leading Pilates practitioners in Western New York. She received her Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) certification in 2013.
Audrey uses Pilates techniques in her rehabilitative work as well as in her work in retraining client’s muscular systems to correct for structural abnormalities.
In addition to fitness and Pilates training she has expanded her practice to include special programs for clients with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, knee, hip, shoulder and spine issues, surgery preparation and recovery from surgery.
